50s -Home Sewn- Womens turquoise shantung silk suit with the short sleeve top having a band collar and side inset sections which also accomplish bodice shaping. Two hat shaped 1 1/2inch purple/blue buttons fasten the front with two secondary snaps used also. The matching A-line skirt has a 2 1/2inch wide waistband with dart shaping and dual purple/blue buttons fastening the side above a metal zipper. Center back has a close kick-pleat extending up 7inches from the hem. The inside of both garments are lined by blue silky synthetic fabric. The skirt measures 27inches from the waist to the hem and the top is 18inches from shoulder to hem.
